Do you ever feel like you’re just reacting to life? You’re constantly busy or anxious but never sit back to think about where you’re headed. You may pause and look back thinking that a lot of stuff has happened but then realise none of this stuff is connected to who you truly are or what you truly want?
Imagine if you could map out where you want to go and write the detail in your story. Imagine if that’s the story you lived your life by…imagine that you consciously made choices about your life instead of having things happen to you. Imagine the possibilities of us working together to make your dreams a reality.
I offer a program focused on results – We will discover what fulfillment looks like for you and map out a way of getting you there.

I am a relationship and psychosexual therapist who aims to build a warm and respectful relationship with my clients to explore current and past concerns. Working together I aim to bring insight and a deeper understanding of the situation and possible behavioural patterns.
We are not born lacking confidence. As we grow things tend to happen to us, and over time this accumulation of “stuff” tends to control the way we think and act. Often we need new ways of looking at old situations to free us from the past and to empower us for the future. Everybody has difficulties and challenges at some point in their life. I see therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist, which help to identify problems and unhelpful patterns that stop us from living our full potential both as individuals and in the couple relationship.
I use a variety of tools and use an integrative therapeutic approach. At P-Therapy I offer couples and individuals a safe space to look at relationship and psychosexual issues and concerns. I work on the principle that negative memories, beliefs and fears are stored in our systems and are the root cause of many emotional and physical difficulties. They hold us back, and keep us locked in repetitive negative patterns. I support clients in clearing and changing limiting beliefs, and allow them to release and free themselves from emotional blocks.

Do you feel that you’re nagging all of the time?
Do you have certain times of the day that are especially difficult, like getting ready for school, dinnertime or bathing?
Do you have a child that is particularly aggressive or incredibly shy?
Do you have children who seem to fight all of the time?
Are you becoming concerned about your child’s behaviour and afraid it is moving beyond what is typical at their particular age?
Is your child in treatment right now, but you are looking for some extra support, yourself?
Do you and your partner differ in parenting styles, causing conflicts in the home?
Do you feel you are at your wits end, exhausted, and overwhelmed with your parenting responsibilities?
These are just some of the topics that come up when I talk to distressed parents about their family life, and I have experienced many of them myself. With an education in sociology, counselling psychology and over 10 years of experience working with children from the delivery room into early adulthood, I am here to help you build the best relationship possible with your child while helping them work through some tough times in their development.
In my experience, every child and family is different and I approach each case with empathy, free from judgment. If you are here, seeking out treatment, I am sure you are already doing the best job you can. I am here to simply provide you with some simple tricks to the trade, as well as evidence-based interventions, that have helped me meet the needs of numerous clients over the years. My goal is to build your confidence as a parent while improving the well-being of your child.
Having trained in martial arts for 18 years, I continuously incorporate many of the values and lessons I learned through my training into my treatment approach: perseverance, compassion, humility and mindfulness, to name a few. I educate parents in love-based methods that not only encourage “good” behaviour, but also improve their self-esteem and inspire them to make safe and healthy decisions even when mom and dad (or others) are not looking over their shoulders.
I believe the relationship and attunement to one another in a family is most important, so I take a systems theory and emotion-focused approach when breaking down the concerns while focusing on the strengths and specific character traits of your family members in order to develop solutions.

DR. WILL COLE – The Natural Health Specialist
Niche – Functional Medicine
Dr. Cole focuses his efforts to clinically investigate underlying factors and customise health programs for his patients. He specialises in chronic conditions such as thyroid issues, autoimmune problems, fibromyalgia, food intolerances, hormonal dysfunctions, digestive disorders, diabetes and heart disease.
Based around cutting-edge science, functional medicine provides a system to understand and look at chronic illnesses, from allergies to anxiety; diabetes to depression; heart disease to hypertension and much more.
Dr. Cole consults locally in Pittsburgh and phone or webcam consultations for people around the world. When millions of people around the world are left with very little options in the mainstream system, are told to take a drug, weight, and go home and live with it, Dr. Cole offers answers as to why you feel like way you do, why you are going through what you are going through, and provides you with sustainable health solutions.
The core concept of functional medicine is that chronic illness is an outcome of imbalances in the key underlying physiological systems in your body. When inflammation, insulin resistance, blood sugar imbalance, oxidative stress, hormonal problems, and systemic upset occur the body spirals out of balance.
This in conjunction with poor diet, deficiency of essential nutrients, stress, lack of exercise, environmental toxins, and other lifestyle factors allow chronic illness to set in.
Functional medicine offers a means to rebalance the body’s physiological systems and address the lifestyle factors that contribute to disease. This allows the body’s natural healing forces to resolve complaints naturally and quickly, often without the need for costly drugs and surgeries.
Dr. Will Cole, D.C, is uniquely skilled and highly experienced at finding the core physiological, hormonal and biochemical causes which underlie many illnesses. He has cut loose from the limiting approach of “standard care,” which usually calls upon pharmaceuticals as a first defence against diseases, without a real investigation into the root causes and contributing factors of an individual’s ailments.
Once he finds out the objective data, the doctor customises a clinical nutrition program for patients. With customised diets and condition-specific supplements, the programs are tailored to individual patients’ unique physiology.
He uses breakthrough diagnostic testing and analysis that’s rarely carried out in conventional settings to uncover the hidden causes of why people aren’t feeling as well as they’d like. Dr. Cole takes great pride in delivering personalised healthcare treatment as well as providing an environment that supports and inspires patients to turn their health around.
Fees & Availability
Dr. Cole takes on a limited number of patients at this time, choosing to devote his time to the people he knows he can help. Programs are designed to be educational, coaching and clinical in nature. Programs range in price depending on the complexity of the case, but we never turn anyone away because of money. The application process to see if Dr. Cole would be able to help you would start with a Free Health Evaluation via phone or Skype.
Training & Experience
Dr. Cole graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles, California. He holds his post doctorate education and training in Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition.
He has been featured on several television programs, including Pittsburgh news affiliates WTAE-TV, KDKA-TV and WPGH-FOX, and is a health writer for international publications as well as lecturing nationally.
The Trauma Specialist
Niche – Somatic Experiencing
Brian D. Mahan, SEP, was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in 2003. He suffered daily from 7 to 10 full-blown panic attacks, following a catastrophic automobile accident. After just a few sessions with a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), he was completely symptom-free. He immediately contacted The Somatic Experiencing Training Institute and committed to study the lifework of Dr. Peter A. Levine.
For the next three years, Brian studied the physiology of stress and trauma and continued to receive personal sessions. He quickly discovered that healing trauma of one event had a global effect on other events, as well. In essence, he set out to resolve panic attacks as a result of a car wreck and, simultaneously, found relief and broke free from habituated lifelong patterns that were related to developmental traumas.
Brian now helps other trauma survivors who struggle at times with stress, anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD. He specializes in working with both developmental traumas (birth traumas, abuse and neglect, attachment/detachment issues, etc.) and shock traumas (divorce, loss, falls, car wrecks, medical procedures, acts of violence, rape, torture, near-death experiences, etc.).
Brian is an educator, author and practitioner in private practice. He is also a guest lecturer, assists Maggie Kline, Senior Faculty Member at The Somatic Experiencing Training Institute, and holds retreats and seminars, focused on re-establishing a sense of safety and re-awakening embodiment through healing stress and trauma.
“Somatic Experiencing” (SE) is a short-term, naturalistic approach, developed by Dr. Peter Levine, to renegotiate and heal both shock and developmental trauma. SE employs the awareness of body sensation to safely and gradually allow the autonomic nervous system (ANS) to unwind, discharge, reorganise and return to resilient homeostasis.
Stress, anxiety, panic and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are oftentimes misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and mistreated. In the U.S. alone, 42 billion dollars per year is spent on the treatment of PTSD. And, women are twice as likely to suffer then men. However, men are less likely to seek treatment.
The ANS and lower brain’s fight/flight/freeze response, otherwise known as ‘survival instincts’, is how we are physiologically hard-wired for survival. Consequently, stress and trauma occur in the body, not in the event, as they are the body’s reactions to past, unresolved “threatening experiences.” Although there may be psychological implications, trauma is inherently a physiological condition.
The word “trauma,” unfortunately, overshadows the intricacies and insidiousness of the long-term effects of dis-regulated autonomic nervous system, whether said threat were real or perceived. Sometimes these unresolved physiological events can remain dormant in the body for years before becoming triggered again.
The easy way to differentiate stress from trauma is that any event is considered traumatic when the symptoms of arousal (reaction) don’t settle, even after the threat has passed.
The results of this body/mind therapy include relief from stress, anxiety, panic attacks, hyper-vigilance, habits and addictions, patterns and cycles of self-sabotage, and dissociative behaviours. It brings on a sense of reawakening and access to instincts which elicit feelings of groundedness, centredness, boundaries, empowerment, being “in the moment”, safety and joyfulness.
Brian offers session both face-to-face for local clients and by phone and Skype for clients nationwide and internationally.

Hypnosis is very relaxing, and that in itself has many benefits. The more I work with the mind, the more I am in awe of its power.
My interest lies in getting to the root cause of problems and clearing it rather than treating the presenting symptom/s. This quote offers a good analogy – “Problems can be reduced to a few core elements. It’s like looking down into a weed infested pond”.
“At the surface it looks dense and impenetrable, but look below the surface and you’ll find everything at the surface is connected to just a few roots. You can spend forever hacking at the surface tangle but, sever the roots and everything clears.”
This is the therapy I practise.
Trained as a psychotherapist but finding from experience, hypnotherapy to be more effective as it helps clients tap into the power of their mind to bring about the desired change.
In talking therapies, the conscious mind with its limitations prevails but in hypnosis the vast, infinite, inner mind is activated, hence changing for the better is easier and quicker.
Having practised hypnotherapy for 18 years, most clients come to see me mainly because:
- They want to stop what they are currently doing/feeling – for example smoking, comfort eating, drinking too much alcohol, feelings of shame or guilt OR
- They want to do/have something that’s currently missing – for example play better golf, have peace of mind, the confidence to succeed, to be happy.
From years of experience working with clients, I find alcohol abuse, comfort eating, smoking are some of the techniques clients have used to get away from the nebulous ‘dis-ease’, ‘that’s inside themselves but outside their control.’ But these distractions are only temporary, what is needed is to find the root cause of the symptoms so they dissipate from the mind body system.
My goal is to help clients understand and safely release the emotions from their past, (generalized free floating anxiety) so that they can live adaptively in the present, whilst reaching out confidently for a brighter and happier tomorrow.
I offer a free 20 minutes consultation in North London to answer any questions or concerns about hypnosis as well as to discuss techniques that will best achieve the clients’ goals.
My therapy is client centred, I am also trained in NLP (neurolinguistic programming, Ericksonian hypnoisis, eclectic psychotherapy and emotional freedom techniques (EFT) and educational kinesiology.

The ADD/ADHD Specialist
Niche – Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
I have a particular interest in ADD/ADHD, the neurobiology of trauma, Post Traumatic Stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Emotional Freedom Technique, mindfulness practice and the relationship between mind and body in wellbeing. An important part of my work is psychoeducation – explaining the therapeutic process to clients and why they may be experiencing what they are experiencing. In my experience people are less anxious when they have a better understanding of what they are experiencing.
My integrative training and holistic approach allow me to work with each client as a unique individual, and to help them find solutions that are appropriate to them. I am Director of the Emotional Freedom Techniques Training Academy, an accredited psychotherapy supervisor, and I was Director of a psychotherapy and hypnotherapy training organisation for twelve years.
I have always been interested in people and what motivates them, their thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. A significant proportion of my twenty three years in the corporate world involved working with interpersonal issues with staff; eventually I decided to pursue that aspect full time.
I am an Integrative therapist with fourteen years’ experience in private practice and the voluntary sector. My training covers counselling and psychotherapy from different perspectives including hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Techniques, bereavement counselling, mindfulness practice and cognitive and behavioural techniques.
I have worked as a counsellor for the UK’s largest addictions charity and a leading mental health charity. I am currently the consultant psychotherapist to an organisation working with people diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and their families. I am experienced in working with a broad range of emotional and psychological concerns and habitual behaviours, trauma and PTSD.
I provide practical skills training to clients, such as Emotional Freedom Techniques, mindfulness practice, self hypnosis and cognitive and behavioural techniques. Underpinning my work is a person or client-centred approach, a recognition that therapy is a collaboration, a journey of discovery for both participants. One of the world’s most respected therapists once said that each time he saw a new patient, he would invent an entirely new therapy. This acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual’s experiences and their way of being in the world, and that therapy needs to be tailored to the specific needs of each person.
Fees & Availability
My fees are £60 for a 1 hour consultation via Skype, phone or face to face. I offer some concessionary spaces to unemployed or low income, please contact me for more information.
I am available for Skype and phone consultations on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 8pm, please check my booking schedule for exact hours. I am also available on these days for face to face consultations in Upper Beeding, West Sussex. I have a comfortable and pleasant therapy space in my home.

Jonathan Livingstone MA established his therapy & coaching practice in London in 1998. Determined to provide the most effective service possible, he studied and trained in a number of what are considered the most effective contemporary therapy and coaching models, including EMDR, kinesiology, hypnotherapy, NLP, TAT& EFT.
He has created a unique way of working, inspired by these powerful therapeutic models, which involves finding and resolving the origins of therapeutic problems so that they are permanently healed.
He is author of the booksThe Therapist Within You (Lemniscate, 2009) and Relearning Experience (in preparation), and a former director and elected board member of the UK Kinesiology Federation.
His clients include corporations and individuals from all backgrounds, races & sexual orientation – international athletes, titled persons, coaches & therapists, actors, college principals, medical doctors, chief executives, dancers, models, an ambassador. They consistently report achieving their desired outcomes, and often much more, after only a few consultations.
Very often, people don’t know exactly what the problem is, or what it is they want instead; and delineating the therapeutic problem and establishing the goal constitute the first task of the therapeutic process.
The therapeutic problem involves an uncomfortable feeling, even if you are not aware of the feeling (since it is feelings, not thoughts, that make you do things you don’t want to do or stop you from doing what you want to do – if it were simply thoughts, you could change them). The therapeutic problem also involves a disempowering belief – although this belief is usually unconscious.
The uncomfortable feeling and disempowering belief are inappropriate in the present circumstances and originate in the past. The second task – the special work of this therapy – involves identifying the experiences in the past that have created the disempowering belief and uncomfortable feeling – even if you have no idea where they may originate.
The third task is to resolve the past experiences that are the origins of the therapeutic problem. You will do this by revisiting and challenging the past experiences in such a way that you replace the original belief with a learning that is empowering.
Through this process the uncomfortable feeling and associated limiting belief dissolve; the therapeutic problem is healed; and your goal becomes attainable.

The Self Esteem Specialist
Niche – Mindfulness
I have had particular experience and success working with clients on relationship, anxiety, vulnerability and self esteem issues.
I work a little bit differently to other therapists and coaches I’ve met, it may be why my clients consistently see the outcomes they want.
For me, the relationship between you and I is the most important part of what we do. Once we can base this on honesty, openness, a sense of creativity and curiosity, you can be pretty certain that you will start seeing positive changes quickly.
I look at the world differently to most; I’ve always questioned the nature of happiness, fulfilment and suffering. This led me to pursue learning how to help people improve the quality of their lives in the most effective way possible. Through my training and experience I began to understand that people have some similarities; we all want to feel valued, loved, appreciated and necessary. This ties in with a unanimous desire to feel belonging.
I’ve spent almost many years developing the skills I believe are vital to be an exceptional therapist. Having a range of experience and skills is really important to me, which is why I’ve worked with such diverse people and organisations across every format: face to face, telephone, text, Skype, email and instant messaging.
I’ve trained in multiple different types of therapy and coaching so that I can tailor therapy to meet your needs in the best way possible. However, in my experience, and as multiple studies have shown, successful outcomes are not based on your therapist’s training or experience – it’s based on the relationship between you and your therapist. I’m not here to give you the answers, I’m here to help you figure out what’s right for you.I make sure to cover the concrete areas of life first – eating, sleeping, exercise, work, living situation. We sort through what’s working and what’s not working along the way. Next we look at your relationships – with yourself and with other people.
Along with a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy I’m also trained in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) which offers some very useful techniques and language patterns, as well as mindfulness and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) which I’ve used with many, many clients and is a particularly gentle, effective technique for painful or traumatic memories.
I use a lot of mindfulness in my work – in short mindfulness is attentive awareness of the present moment. It can be challenging to learn and practice in the beginning, but every single person I have introduced to mindfulness has said that they benefit from using it in their daily lives.
I have experience in and work with a range of issues, some of which include: abuse, addictions, anger, anorexia, anxiety, bereavement/grief/loss, body image, bulimia, career, childhood issues, creativity, depression, disability, dissociation, eating disorders, family, gender, identity, life transitions, mental health, motivation, OCD, orthorexia, phobias, pain management, procrastination, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), parenting, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, sexual orientation, sexual issues, social confidence, sleep, spirituality, stress and trauma as well as the many other things that life can throw at us.
